We can define a KPI (Key Performance Indicators), or Key Performance Indicators, as the metrics that measure the level of performance of a process, focusing on the “how” and indicating the process performance, so as to achieve the target.
“All KPIs are metrics but not all metrics are KPIs.”.
We must keep in mind:
1. Objectives: It is important to establish the KPI’s in line with the objectives of your project.
2. Progress: it is important to analyze the KPI’s to evaluate the performance and verify the progress of our project. Therefore, the KPI’s should be quantifiable.
Three. Milestones: We must consider milestones to help us steer a global goal. A quantifiable data which does not make it relevant enough to appear in a KPI.
